Terms of hire
The plain-English summary comes first. By booking, you agree to these terms on behalf of everyone at your event.
In short
- Book at least 7 days ahead. Each session is four hours, including setting up and clearing away.
- Full refund if you cancel 30 days or more before. No refund after that.
- Evening bookings, adult parties and commercial bookings are checked by a trustee first.
- Children's parties need one adult for every 10 children.
- Adult parties are for West End residents only. No parties for 14 to 21 year olds.
- Music down at 9:30pm and off by 10pm, for our neighbours.
- No smoking, candles or dogs inside.
- Leave the hall as you found it, and take all rubbish home.
The conditions
Your booking
Your booking is confirmed once it is paid and, where needed, approved by a trustee. We email a confirmation and receipt.
Using the hall
Use the hall only for the purpose you gave when booking. The hall is not licensed: selling alcohol or tickets needs the trustees’ written consent and a Temporary Event Notice from Elmbridge Borough Council, and tickets must be sold in advance.
Safety
Keep the fire exits clear and find them when you arrive. Report any accident or damage to us by email the same day.
Damage and cleaning
You are responsible for any damage during your booking, and for leaving the hall clean and tidy. We may charge for extra cleaning or repairs.
Cancelling
You can cancel from the link in your confirmation email. If the hall cannot be used for a reason outside our control, we refund you in full.
